| Jim Henderson, CPA Announces for Assessor |
|
Milton, Mass. — March 17, 2010 — At a well attended and
fun-filled St Patrick’s Day party, James (Jim) A. Henderson, CPA, founder of TaxSense, officially announced
his candidacy for a seat on the Board of Assessors.
He
is a graduate of Boston Latin, attended the University of Notre Dame,
and graduated with high distinction from Babson College.
Jim
is a licensed and practicing CPA with offices in Quincy, Norwood,
Dorchester and Plymouth. He has over 30 years’ experience dealing with
taxes of all types at the local, state, federal and international
levels.
“While
all taxes are different, what remains the same, and what I am a true
advocate for, is that all taxpayers want to be treated fairly and
equitably under the law. Nobody wants to, nor should they, overpay
their taxes!”
Jim
has been a licensed Real Estate Broker for over 30 years and has
attended or presented hundreds of seminars regarding real estate. He is
known by his clients as the “Homeowner’s Tax Specialist.”
“My
unique combination of real world tax and real estate experiences brings
an unparalleled depth of knowledge to the critical Board of Assessor
position”
“People
are concerned about their property tax assessments. The abatement and
exemption processes are not taxpayer friendly and are fraught with
pitfalls. I have no prior political experience or ties. I, therefore,
come before you with fresh ideas and a promise to make the assessment
and abatement processes as open and fair as possible.”
Jim
and his wife, Kathy, are 15-year residents. Both have come to love
Milton. Their two boys, Andrew and Colin, attend Milton Public Schools.
Nana, Kathy’s Mother, completes the household, and we can’t forget the
two dogs, Dexter and Delilah.
“I
am a firm believer of “Givers Gain.” From coaching youth sports, to
being the Cub Master of Pack 2, to being a Rotarian, to being a
community volunteer, I have received so much more back than I have ever
given. I promise the same dedication to the Board of Assessor position.”
